Alipurduar

Alipurduar is a city on the east bank of Kaljani River in the northern plains of West Bengal. A major town in eastern Dooars, Alipurduar acts a stopover to the surrounding tourist attractions.

By plane

Alipurduar does not have an airport. The nearest airports include Cooch Behar (COH IATA) and Rupsi (RUP IATA). Another option is Bagdogra Airport (IXB IATA) in Siliguri, which handles daily flights from all major cities in India and twice weekly international flights to and from Paro and Bangkok.

By train

There are four railway stations in Alipurduar, including 🌍 Alipurduar, 🌍 Alipurduar Court, 🌍 Alipurduar Junction and 🌍 New Alipurduar, of which New Alipurduar is the busiest.

By bus

Buses run by North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) and Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) are available in Alipurduar.

See and do

Alipurduar itself does not have tourist attractions. However, the town is surrounded by several tourist attractions, including Buxa Tiger Reserve, Chilapata Forest, Hasimara and Jaldapara National Park.
