Get in
By plane
Amagasaki has access to Kansai International Airport. From the airport a bus or a train can be taken to JR Osaka Station. From there, Amagasaki JR and Amagasaki Hanshin (阪神) are accessible.
By train
Take the Shinkansen (新幹線) to Shin-Osaka, then transfer to a JR train to go to JR Amagasaki station.
Get around
Amagasaki has both a Hanshin (阪神) and JR station. Amagasaki Hanshin is located in southern Amagasaki, and Amagasaki JR is in the north. On the Hanshin line, there are local stops at Kuise (杭瀬) and Daimotsu (大物).

Buy
- Q's Mall (キューズモール), 1 Chome-3-1 Shioe, ☏ +81 6-6493-5583. Formerly known as CoCoe. A large shopping mall with a variety of shops in and around it. There are some nice restaurants located on the top floor shared with the movie theater. The mall can be reached directly out of JR Amagasaki station.
- Costco (From the south exit of JR Amagasaki, take the AD3 or the 24 bus and get off at Kanzaki Danchi.). 10AM-8PM 7 days a week, closed New Year's Day. Members-only wholesale store carrying all manner of goods from computers to snack food, and a deli section with fresh sushi and sashimi. If you have a membership, this is a good place to stock up on Japanese snacks, games, or other items at lower prices than elsewhere, or to eat (either from the deli or the food court).
Eat
- There is a tiny gem just north of Kuise Station (杭瀬) called Ka Ka (カカ). This Nepalese restaurant has excellent curry and an amazing lunch special.
Sleep
- Hotel Vischio Amagasaki (ホテルヴィスキオ尼崎). Is located near JR Amagasaki station.
