Avon Lake

Avon Lake is a suburb of Cleveland on Lake Erie in Lorain County. In 2018, it had a population of 24,000 people. The community has public beaches, 20 miles (32 km) of bike trails, a boat launch, and many other recreational amenities.

Approximately 220 acres (0.9 km²) is designated for parks and playgrounds. Avon Lake operates six community parks: Blesser Park, Miller Road Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Weiss Field, Avon Lake/Bay Village Park, and Bicentennial Park. Five neighborhood parks managed by the city are: Belle Road Park, Inwood Park, Overlook Park, Resatar Park, and Sunset Park each with adjoining bike trails to promote easy residential access and outdoor recreation.
