Bhadravathi
Bhadravathi is a city in Shimoga District, Karnataka, India.
It is around 25 km from Shivamogga city. It got its name as it is situated on river bank of Bhadra. It was earlier called Benkipura (very hot place). It is just 10 km away from Shimoga. It is one of the major industrial towns in Karnataka. It has two major industries VISL and MPM.

- Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple. This temple was built by the Veera Narasimha, the grandson of Vishnuvardhana belonging to Hoysala Dynasty in the 13th century A.D. The temple has idols of Lord Srikrishna, Lord Purushottama, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Sharadamba and lord Narasimha. The temple is built on a star shaped platform.

Paani poori in Rangappa Circle is one of the best and don't miss if you go here. There are no good quality hotels, but there are hotels like Kanchan, where you can expect cheap, tasty and healthy vegetarian food. Padma Nilaya is a good restaurant to get food and snacks.
