Binsar is a wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand state of India, 33 km north of Almora town.

Binsar is predominantly an oak and rhododendron forest, with pine trees in the lower reaches.
Get in
Kathgodam is the nearest rail head that is well connected to Delhi (overnight journey) and other major cities.
The fastest, easiest albeit a bit more expensive way to go to Binsar is to take a cab from Kathgodam. Alternatively, you could take a local bus or shared cab to Almora and then hire a cab from there to take you to the wildlife sanctuary.
