Chantilly

Chantilly, a town to the north of Paris and its metropolis, is the site of one of the most famous and beautiful French châteaux.

Get in

By car

Take the A1 Autoroute du Nord (Paris - Lille motorway) northwards from Paris, take the Chantilly exit, southwards from Lille, take the Survilliers exit. Alternatively, drivers can take the RN 16 or RN 17 trunk roads. Chantilly is usually less than one hour's drive from Paris (depending on traffic).

By train

From the Gare du Nord in Paris - SNCF Grandes Lignes (27 min), from Châtelet les Halles - RER Line D (45 min).

Get around

On foot

To walk from the terminal (at the head of the SNCF lines), get off at the Chantilly stop and walk to the château from the terminal, around 30-35 min.

By bus

There is a Cariane bus from the train station to Senlis that also stops at the entrance to the château. The fare within the city of Chantilly is free.

By taxi

To access the château from Chantilly station, you can take a taxi from the station (6).

The combination of excellent paintings displayed in beautiful surroundings would be a sufficient reason to visit, but make sure to walk around the grounds and enjoy the water features, too.

World-famous amusement park designed after the Astérix comic strips by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Seven adventure areas, 27 attractions and six shows are waiting to thrill, excite and entertain you. The park has plenty to offer young children such as many merry-go-rounds and a dolphin theatre. It also has a very diverse set of attractions for adults, including Tonnerre de Zeus, the biggest wooden roller-coaster in Europe, Goudurix, one of the most impressive loop-the-loops in Europe. On the gate, adult: €49, child (aged 3-11): €41; reserved at least seven days in advance, adult: €41, child (aged 3-11): €38.
