Devecser is a town of 4,200 people (2018) in Veszprém County.

The easiest way to get there is on the main road 8, which runs along the northern edge of the city, roughly east-west.

- 🌍 Devecser Castle (Esterházy Castle). Here is one of the most beautiful castle libraries in the country, to which exhibition halls are connected. The castle gallery offers temporary art exhibitions. The Devecser Local History Exhibition was built in the summer of 2021 in the part of the building directly accessible from Petőfi Square, which provides an insight into the past of the city.
- Devecser Memorial Park. On the one-year anniversary of the sludge spill, on October 4, 2011, the 8-hectare memorial park was inaugurated in Devecser, which was established in an area flooded by red mud that cannot be used for other purposes. In the park, three lakes, each with a surface of half a hectare, have been created, which are fed by the springs of the Mill Trench and the Torna Creek. Stone and wooden bridges cross the ditches and canals connecting the lakes. There are many outdoor artworks and monuments in the Memorial Park.
- Turulmadaras I.-II.. World war memorial, erected in 2016 - in which wood, metal, and stone merge, is more than 7 m tall with a swordfish on its top, with a sword between its claws, preparing to take off with extended wings.
- Trianon Memorial. The central element of the monument is the double cross, which rises from a triple mound formed of land from the annexed parts of the country.
- Rotary house. In the immediate vicinity of the Memorial Park, under the Árpád utca 7 remaining memento of a former post office building in a special exhibition, which commemorates the tragic events of the victims and the rescue and reconstruction participants. In front of the building, the old stone cross pays homage to the past.
- The headstone of the sludge disaster. Arriving at the Memorial Park via a stone bridge from the Rotary House is a headstone erected in 2016 reminiscent of 18 streets destroyed in an industrial disaster.
- Ecumenical Chapel of Rebirth.
- Szentkút (Kolontári Szentkút). According to a record from 1805, pilgrims regularly came here as early as the 1700s and believed in the healing power of the well water. In the first half of the 20th century, a lively religious life took place here. In the socialist times, pilgrims were not allowed to visit this place in groups. After the change of regime, the small chapel was renovated, and organized pilgrimages resumed in the mid-1990s. Every year on the last Sunday of September, a feast of Holy Well is celebrated with Holy Mass. During the 2010 disaster, red mud surrounded the well but did not flood it, so the belief around the well was strengthened.

- 🌍 Somlóvásárhely (W 10 km from Ajka take a bus or a train). Petofi Lookout on Somlo Mount. Ruins of Somló Castle (15th-16th centuries) - One of the best wine of the Veszprém County growing. Stay: Somló Hotel or in the Turist Guesthouse near to Castle. Three chapel can be find in the village St. Margaret's Chapel ('Szent Margit-kápolna'; on south side of the mount of Somlo, 15th-century Gothic style, rebuilt in the 18th century); St. Martin's Chapel ('Szent Márton-kápolna', built in the 13th century, in Romanesque style and rebuilt in the late Baroque style in the 18th century); St. Helena's Chapel ('Szent Ilona-kápolna', Located: in the outskirts of Somlójenő settlement on the south west side of the mount of Somlo). There are almost 30 wineries, visit the showroom of the high tech distillery and tasting some spirit from local fruits. Take a walking tour to the Somló Protected area.

- Berta park, 47 Miskei Street. M-F 08:00 to 16:00. Berta Park covers an area of 1 hectare of the former Devecser District Berta Hospital complex. Of the many planned garden details, the central element of the park, the Japanese Garden, and the Rose Garden have already been established.
- Makovecz Imre Residential Park. There is a Maltese garden, a sports court and a children's playground.

- Devecser lomis market. One of the largest second-hand markets in the country is in Meggyeserdő, on the right side of the road from the city to Sümeg, in the area of the former barracks.
