Understand
This area is characterized by the seemingly interminable flat expanse of the Snake River Plain to the west and the gradual incipient rugged terrain of the Rockies to the east that will reach a crescendo in the Grand Tetons as you cross the Wyoming state line, with a pocket of forest in the northeast corner.
