Get in

WA State Hwy 8 from Olympia connects into US Hwy 12 in Elma from the East. From the West, US Hwy 12 leads into Elma before splitting off South. Monte-Elma Rd (the old highway) connects Montesano to Elma paralleling US Hwy 12.

Get around

Grays Harbor Transit operates a limited bus service in Elma.

See

Grays Harbor County fair which usually starts on the second Wednesday of August and runs through the following Sunday.

Grays Harbor County Raceway is a big attraction amongst locals and out-of-town folk alike. Sprint car racing (especially the World of Outlaws) uses the track every Saturday from April til about October. Hobby-stock cars and motorbikes use the track as well.

Elma Ponds is a nice place to relax on a sunny day. Fishing is possible if you bring a raft and float in the center of the pond. Not too many fish venture towards the shore as there are usually a lot of splashing kids around.

Briggs Nursery. Nuff said.

Eat

Schmitty's is a nice burger stand on the west side of Elma. Great milkshakes, better girls who serve them  ;]

Juseppie's Pizza makes the best pizza in town.

Rusty Tractor is a good place to go for a country breakfast/dinner.
