Fada
Fada is a city of 25,000 inhabitants located in Saharan Chad and the capital of Ennedi Ouest department.

Located on the Ennedi Plateau, Fada is a truly Sahariern city, remaining an isolated green outpost surrounded by vast desert. Visitors generally comes through Fada to visit the Guelta d'Archei.

- 🌍 Guelta d'Archei. One of the most famours gueltas in Sahara, small bodies of water that are hosts to isolated pockets of Nile crocodiles and other species not usually found in the desert. Rock paintings and archaeological artefacts are reminders of early human activities during Saharas wet period about 10000 BC.
- 🌍 Berdoba (190 kilometres southeast of Fada). The small remote desert village and birthplace of former military officer and 6th president of Chad, Idriss Déby.
