Fayetteville was founded in 1909 and named after the larger metropolis of Fayetteville, North Carolina from which a lot of its original inhabitants came.

- 🌍 Stone Bridge Memorial Park, 2010 Thornton Taylor Pkwy, ☏ +1 931 433-6059. A stone bridge was built in 1860 but just a few years later William T Sherman ordered it burned. Somehow it escaped total destruction there but was carried away by floodwaters in 1969. You can see a reconstructed version with its arched design here next to Norris Creek along with some other pioneer buildings like a calaboose.
