Fuding

Fuding (福鼎市) is a town in Ningde Prefecture, at the northern end of Fujian.

Understand

The region mostly speaks Eastern Min natively. There is a Puxian Min (Hinghwa) speaking community in Fuding.

Get in

Fuding City is 150 kilometers from Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province in the north, and 250 kilometers away from Fuzhou City in the south.

By train

  • 🌍 Fuding railway station. Fuding is on the main fast train line from Fuzhou to Shanghai, but not all trains stop there. Wenfu and Yongtaiwen High Speed Railway reaches Fuding from Fuzhou in 1.5 hr, from Wenzhou in 30 min, and from Shanghai in 5 hr.

By car

The main road No. 104 pass through Fuding City.

By ferry

A ferry service operates across Shacheng Bay, connecting the somewhat isolated town of Shacheng to the Long'an Development Area (the port for Dianxia Town).
