Georges River National Park is a national park in the southern areas of Sydney, in the eastern areas of the South West.

Visitor information
Get in
Using the Henry Lawson Drive from Revesby is the quickest way and is the only logical way of getting in. Alfords Point Rd passes though the park, but does not have any exits to the park.
Fees and permits
There is a fee of $8 per vehicle and can be paid at the coin-operated pay and display machines at the gate. Remember that the pay and display machines don't give change, so make sure to bring exact coins.
NSW Parks passes are valid in the park, which provide unlimited access to the park for a year. The passes also provides faster entry and is valid for 12 months (or 24 if you purchase a two year pass) from date of purchase. The fees per vehicle (as at 2021) as follows:
- All Parks Pass – includes all parks in New South Wales, including Kosciuszko National Park ($195 for one year, $335 for two years)
- Multi Park Pass – includes all parks in New South Wales, excluding Kosciuszko National Park ($65 for one year, $115 for two years)
The country park pass is not valid in Georges River National Park as this is within metropolitan Sydney.
Get around
See
- Revesby Beach - the beach located on the Georges River is the most common and frequently used swimming spot for visitors to the park. The water way is a common passing for bull sharks so swimming in the deep waters is cautioned to visitors.
Do
- The Ridge Walking Track has a total distance of 3.2 kilometres (1.6 km in and out). It is estimated to take 30 minutes to an hour to complete the circuit. The trail passes through some unusual rock formations.
- Yeramba Lagoon Loop Walking Track - it is a 1.8 kilometre trail. 100 species of birds have been recorded in the area, and up to 15 different bird species are present at one time, making this trail most popular for birdwatchers. Many bird species are found in this area of the park due to the abundance of freshwater wetlands and lakes found here. It takes roughly 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete the trail.

Nothing to buy in Georges River National Park as there are simply no shops.
Eat and drink
There are no cafes, restaurants, kiosks etc in the park, and the only places where you can eat are the few picnic areas in the park, although you'll need to bring your own food.
Sleep
There are no places to sleep in the park, so your nearest options are either in the southwestern suburbs or the St George area and Sutherland Shire.
