Harjavalta is an industrial town with about 6700 inhabitants along the Kokemäki river, Highway 2 and the Tampere-Pori railway.

Get in

By car

The town is next to Highway 2 connecting Helsinki and Pori. Highway 43 comes in from the south (Eura, Laitila and Uusikaupunki).

By train

Trains between Pori and Tampere stop at Harjavalta.

By bus

There are buses from Helsinki, Pori, Rauma and Turku, stopping at intermediate towns.

  • 🌍 Emil Cedercreutz Museum, Museotie 1. Museum dedicated to sculptor Emil Cedercreutz (1879-1949) who lived and worked in Harjavalta.
