Havre is a town in Montana. About 9,300 people lived there in 2020.

Havre is home to Montana State University – Northern. Havre serves as the "big city" for a huge radius of small towns. The nearest major city, Great Falls, is about 120 miles (190 km) to the south. Wild Horse Border Crossing into Canada is 44 miles north and it is one of the lowest volume ports between the countries.

Towns along US Highway 2 in Montana are usually referred to as being on the "Hi Line".

  • 🌍 Frank DeRosa Railroad Museum (Havre Beneath The Streets), 120 3rd Ave, ☏ +1 406-265-8888, . Call phone number to book a tour. Rail and gritty underground dioramas from Havre's past. When fire destroyed most of the town, many businesses moved into the basements and connected the basements with each other while the town was rebuilt. Adult $17, child (6-12) $9, under 5 free.
  • 🌍 Montana Dinosaur Trail - H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum, 2 5th Ave, ☏ +1 406 265-4000, . Summer: M-Sa 10AM-5PM, Su noon–5PM; winter: Tu-Sa 1-5PM. History center. It is part of the Montana Dinosaur Trail. Adults $3, children (6-12) $2, under 5 free.
