Irepo

Irepo Local Government Area is a local government area of Oyo State with its administrative headquarter in Kishi. Irepo is called the "Food Basket of Oyo State".

Understand

Created in 1946; Kishi, Igbeti, Igboho were the three major towns that made up Irepo Local Government Area as at the time of creation.

Irepo shares boundary with Olorunsogo and Oorelope Local Government areas of Oyo State to the east and west while Baruten and Kaiama Local Authorities of Kwara State to its north-west and north respectively.

This local council area dwellers are majorly into farming (mainly cultivation of Cassava, rice, cotton, and pepper).

Irepo has about 60 villages within its domain with Adagbangba, Agunla, BudoOjetere, Welewele, Sooro, Sise-orowo, and Ajetowa being the notable ones.
