Isla de la Luna

Isla de la Luna is a tiny, uninhabited island in Lake Titicaca, Bolivia. Known for its mythological significance to the Incas.

Get in

On a one day boat tour from Copacabana.
By renting a boat in Yumani, on the nearby Isla del Sol.

Fees and permits

There is a fee of Bs. 10 for entering the village and seeing the Temple of Fertility. However, strolling along the beach is for free.

Get around

Walking is the only form of transport.

See

The ruins of the Temple of the Virgins of a Sun, resembling an amphitheater.

Eat

There is a small snack bar and women selling various things at the pier.

Sleep

Camping should be possible.
