Keylong

Keylong or Kyelang is a hill station in the Lahaul region of Eastern Himachal Pradesh, India.

Get in

In the summer, at least, there are regular buses from Manali and Leh, run by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation and also an express from Delhi, taking around 24 hours (as of August 2007).

See

A number of gompas (monasteries) are within a few hours' walk, in wonderful scenery.

Eat

  • Hotel Tashi Delek, Keylong Market. Tashi Delek is locally famous for its Tibetan food specialties.

Drink

There is an 'English Wine & Beer Shop' on The Mall, close to Tashi Delek hotel.

Go next

There are plenty of buses to Manali (during the summer, that is), but going north can be a problem, as there may not be seats available (August 2010).
