Kolomyia
Kolomyia (Ukrainian: Коломия) (multiple spellings, also Kolomyja, Kolomyya, Kolomiya) is a town in the Ukrainian part of East Galicia. The town is in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains and therefore often serves as a starting point for hiking or cultural site-seeing tours in the Eastern Carpathians.

Kolomyia is a railway hub. You can easily get there from Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi.

It has also many bus connections to cities all around Ukraine and to several foreign countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Moldova).

Many imposing buildings dating back to the 19th century. There are quite a few interesting churches in the centre as well.
- Museum of Easter Eggs. Pysanka Museum. A special museum designed itself as a huge Easter egg.
- 🌍 National Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttya Folk Art, Teatralna 25. Tu-Su 10:00-18:00. This museum is dedicated to the local traditional Slavic tribes whose centre is Kolomyia. 12 грн.
