Kurgan Oblast
Kurgan Oblast (Russian: Курга́нская о́бласть koor-GAHN-skuh-yuh OH-blust') is a region in Russia's Urals region. Kurgan Oblast borders Tyumen Oblast to the northeast, Kazakhstan to the southeast, Chelyabinsk Oblast to the southwest and Sverdlovsk Oblast to the northwest.

Domestic flights arrive at 🌍 International Airport Kurgan (KRO IATA) from Moscow and Saint Petersburg. International flights are not carried out.
Kurgan train station is one of the principal stops on the South Ural route of the Trans-Siberian Railway. Trains also arrive from nearby cities Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk. It is also possible to arrive by train from northern Kazakhstan.
Kurgan is accessible from federal highways R254 and R354.
