Lanigan

Lanigan is a small town in East Central Saskatchewan. Known as "The Land of Potash", it is a service centre for potash and agriculture production.

Understand

Lanigan is home to multiple potash mines, including Nutrien Lanigan Potash which is one the largest in North America. Lanigan is a good pit stop for those travelling on the Yellowhead Highway.

Lanigan is about 1 hour east of Saskatoon at the intersection of Highway 16 (Yellowhead Highway) and Highway 20.

Located in the old CPR station (heritage site), the Lanigan and District Heritage Centre contains displays such as a caboose, CPR dispatch office, potash display, history room, artifacts of early settlers, Carlton Trail Route, tourist information and arts and crafts.
