Lin'an

Lin'an (临安 Lín'ān) is a city in Zhejiang.

Understand

Linan is an active city with a good location. It is only 30 kilometers from Hangzhou, and due to high prices for apartments in Hangzhou, more and more people are moving to Lin'an and commuting to Hangzhou.

Get in

By car

The Hang Hui Highway starts in Hangzhou and traverses Lin'an.

There is also a new highway being built that will connect Lin'an to Dongyang. It is scheduled for completion in 2015.

By train

For economic reasons, the Hang Huang high speed train, which used to serve Linan, has been diverted to Fuyang.

However, the Hangzhou Metro will be extended to Lin'an within 3 years, and by 2020, there may be two metro lines (Lines 3 and 5) connecting Lin'an with Hangzhou.

See

Tianmushan is located in Lin'an county. Da'ming Mountain-This place is a hidden gem, with beautiful mountain scenery and good walking trails. There are also skiing opportunities in the winter. The only drawback is the entrance ticket - you have to pay both for entering the place, then you have to buy a ticket for transportation inside the mountain (you can't get anywhere without the special bus), and then another extra fee for the cable car.
