Lycksele
Lycksele is a town in Västerbotten County in northern Sweden with 8,500 inhabitants. Lycksele municipality, Lycksele kommun, contains large tracts of sparsely populated nature, with 12,000 inhabitants in total.
Lycksele is the dominant settlement in southern Lappland, and has a decent service sector for its size.

By plane
- 🌍 Lycksele Airport (LYC IATA). The small airport has at least one daily flight from Stockholm.
By train and bus
There are three daily trains and up to ten regional express buses from Umeå on weekdays. Typically, there are also one to three buses per day from smaller inland towns such as Hemavan, Sorsele, Storuman and Vilhelmina. Both buses and trains stop at 🌍 Lycksele Resecentrum. Tickets are timetables are available from Länstrafiken Västerbotten.
