State Roads 67 and 37 both lead to here directly from Indianapolis. Interstate 69 leads south to Bloomington. From I-70, take IN-39.

The forest features roughly 25 miles of hiking trails including parts of the long distance Tecumseh Trail (42 miles). Overnight facilities include a primitive campground, cabins, and backcountry camping areas. Three stocked lakes provide fishing opportunities.
