Mayfield is just off the A267.
By train
The nearest train station is Wadhurst (station code: WAD), which is about 10 minutes drive away.
By bus
There are bus services operated by Stagecoach from Mayfield High Street to Heathfield and Tunbridge Wells. During the day, these run half-hourly, but do not run late into the evening.

- The Middle House, High Street, ☏ +44 1435 872146. Built in 1575 and once occupied by Sir Thomas Gresham, the Middle House has accommodation, bar food and an a la carte restaurant. There is also a beer garden, and accommodation. The owners have opened a delicatessen in the High Street selling bread, meat, cheese and vegetables.
