Messina (province)

The Metropolitan City of Messina (Italian: CittΓ  metropolitana di Messina) is an administrative division in Sicily, Italy and is the closest to the Italian mainland (as close as 3.25 km (2.02 mi) at some points). It replaced the former Province of Messina on 1 January 2015.
