There is a large forest preserve in which is located an "Arctic Village" (Beiji Village). You'll also want to see Heilongjiang First Bay, the Santa Claus House theme park, and Beihong Village. Around the time of the Summer Solstice, it's sometimes possible to see the Aurora Borealis in Beiji Village.

Sleep

There are plenty of small hotels, youth hostels, and farm stays, particularly in the "city" by the airport or train station, as well as Beiji Village and Beihong Village. Beiji Village is your best option.
