Nefyn

On the A497 7 miles north of Pwllheli, which is the closest rail station and where bus connections 8 and 27 can be made.

Many of the houses in this part of Wales have names, and one in Nefyn is called Ty Ni. From the name, you might guess the size of the house!

• 🌍 Garn Boduan. Iron Age hillfort (updated Sep 2016)
• maritime museum. in a converted church. 

• Golf: Nefyn GC has the championship Old Course plus the nine-hole Point. Old Course off white tees is 6520 yards, par 71, visitor round £60.
• Nefyn hosts a carnival on the May Bank Holiday Monday. There is a procession through town led by drummers and dancers, followed by girls and boys dressed up as princesses and princes, riding in car boots and trailers. The end of the procession includes children and adults in fancy dress. The procession leads to the carnival yard, with car boot sales and children's play areas.

There is a convenience store in town, Spar, where basic groceries can be purchased.

The village has two hotels as well as cottages and houses for short-term rentals.
