Obuasi is a mining town situated in the Ashanti-Kwahu region of Ghana, some 60 km south of Kumasi.

Do

The town has a world class golf course which was originally the stomping ground of a few privileged ex-pats. The golf course has its own unique character, with obstacles such as goats and locals doing their weekly washing in the creek that runs through the course.

Restaurants are numerous serving the finest Ghanaian cuisine.

Drink

Obuasi could be called a fun town. On a Sunday evening people can be found jiving to Hip Hop at places like The Anyinam Lodge and the famed Golden View.

Obuasi has some of Ghana's finest Hotels, Cici Hotel, Barone Hotel and Anyinam Lodge to name but a few. At the Anyinam Lodge you are sure to meet the friendly locals who will be only to happy to show you around the town. Obuasi is a place not to be missed on anyone's trip to Ghana.
