Take Interstate 5 to Sperry Avenue (Exit 434) and drive three miles to the city center at State Route 33. Patterson is about 85 miles southeast of San Francisco and 300 miles north of Los Angeles.

• San Francisco - take Interstate 5 North to Interstate 580 West and follow signs for San Francisco. Allow lots of time during peak hours.
• San Jose- 5 North to 580 West to 680 South, about 1 h 30 min to 2 h 30 min. For a scenic, but longer alternative route, you could take Del Puerto Canyon Road to Mt Hamilton to San Jose, which would take 1 h longer.
• Los Angeles - 5 South, about 4 hours 45 minutes to 6 hours. Caution: Between Patterson and The Grapevine, there is not a lot of services, so bring lots of water and don't leave pets and children in cars during the summer.
• Fresno - 5 South to 152 East to 99 South, about 2 h away.
• Sacramento - 5 North, about 1 h 15 min away.
