Payathonzu

Payathonzu is a town in Southeastern Myanmar, in the Kayin State on the border with Thailand. It is on the Burma Railway.

  • 🌍 Suwannagiri Monastery. Buddhist temple built by the Mon Buddhist monk Luangpho Uttama. Most famous for its hundred wooden pillars and interior walls decorated with beautiful Burmese art.
  • 🌍 Taung Waing Monastery, +95 9 681 898127. Buddhist monastery which as a large Buddha statue in the middle setting a cross-legged, meditative position.
