Pewaukee

Pewaukee , Wisconsin is the name for two municipalities. There is the City of Pewaukee and the Village of Pewaukee which border each other. They are located in Waukesha County and are western suburbs of Milwaukee. The Village of Pewaukee is on the eastern end of Pewaukee Lake.

  • 🌍 Clark House Museum, 206 East Wisconsin Ave, +1 262 691 0233. Originally a stage coach inn on the Watertown Plank Road that ran from Milwaukee to Watertown, this is now a small museum operated by the local historical society. The museum displays include an exhibits on Native American settlement with emphasis on the Potawatomi and Waukesha. Pictures and artifacts portray a way of life from the early 1900s in the village and city.

In the Summer Pewaukee has a couple of festivals held on the street in front of the downtown beach. They include the Taste of Lake Country and the Pewaukee Beach Party. The taste of Lake Country includes food from a number of fine local restaurants with live music on the beach to enjoy while eating.

During the summers there is live music at the lakefront every Wednesday. Local bands draw in people from the area to enjoy an evening of music of a number of styles from rock to country to jazz.

The Pewaukee Yacht Club regularly hosts sailboat races on the western end of Pewaukee Lake.

In the winter Pewaukee Lake is frequently used for ice fishing, snowmobiling, and kite boarding.
