Rambouillet
Rambouillet is a town in the Yvelines department of Île-de-France, to the south-west of Paris. It is most well-known for the Château de Rambouillet and its vast grounds which blend into the Forest of Rambouillet, which also acted as the official summer residence of the President of France until 2009.
Get in
Rambouillet station is the terminus of the Rambouillet branch of Line N which connects the town with Montparnasse station in Paris. However, Rambouillet is also an intermediate stop on the TER Centre-Val de Loire service from Montparnasse to Chartres and it is considerably quicker to get to Rambouillet from Paris or Versailles by taking the TER than by taking the N.
