Rewari is well connected by road and railway. Rewari was the first town in North India west of Delhi to be connected to a railway line. The Delhi-Rewari metre gauge line was the first railway line in North India west of Delhi. Now the gauge of the track is broad gauge. You can board a train to Rewari from Delhi, Delhi Sarai Rohilla or Delhi Cantonment stations in Delhi. It takes a little less than two hours to travel the distance of 82 km from Delhi junction to Rewari junction.
For travelling to Rewari by road, take the NH8 (Delhi-Jaipur national highway) from Delhi (at Dhaula Kuan or Rao Tula Rao Marg crossing) and turn right at the Sahibi River Bridge just after Dharuhera.
The nearest airport is Delhi Airport, about 60 km away on NH8. The domestic terminal of the airport is connected to Bombay by about 20 flights every day and to other cities in India. The international terminal of the airport is connected to almost all Asian countries, Middle East, major European countries, USA and Canada and some countries in Africa and Latin America.
Get around
There is public transport available in Rewari. One can move around the city in auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws. The fare is cheap. However, negotiate well with the rickshaw puller before embarking if you are a foreigner.
Haryana Roadways have started their city service to serve the people with just a fare of ₹5 only. You can roam around the city with this minimal fare.

The haveli of Rao Tula Ram and solarahi talaab and bada talaab has an historical importance. Basically the Bara Talab was made by Then Raja Rao Tej Singh. Solah Rahi is very beautiful historical place. A Shiv Temple named Bhuteshwar Mandir Campus is very well arranged and an eye catching place. All Hindu god-Goddess statues are situated in the Mandir Campus. One Another Place Bhagwat Bhakti Ashram is also situated in Rewari. Very Respected Sant Swami Parmanand Ji Status is also established there.
Another holy place named Bhagwan Parsuram Mandir at Brahamgarh, Rewari. The only temple in Rewari District of Sixth Avtaar of Bhagwan Vishnu name Bhagwan Parsuram.
- 🌍 Rewari Railway Heritage Museum, Railway Colony, ☏ +91 97295 31793. Tu-Su 9AM-4PM. This museums holds of the oldest surviving steam locomotives, including the Fairy Queen. There are exhibits of toy and model trains, railway equipment used in the 19th century, a 3D virtual reality coach simulator and short documentary films showing the railway history of India.
