Roseau (Minnesota)
Roseau, "Minnesota's North Star City", is a city of 3000 people in Northwestern Minnesota less than 10 miles from the Canadian border..
Understand
A gateway to nature, Roseau is home to snowmobile manufacturer Polaris Industries.
Roseau is 22 miles from Lake of the Woods, the northernmost point in the contiguous US48. The Northwest Angle, a peninsula on Lake of the Woods, is part of Minnesota but north of the 49° parallel — the only road access is through Manitoba.
Get in
The most convenient way to get to Roseau is by car. The major highways that will bring you to Roseau are Highway 11 (East-West) and Highway 89 (North-South).
Get around
In Roseau, it's common to see people riding ATV's, golf carts and even snowmobiles in the winter around town (although this is not encouraged, for safety reasons). A bicycle trail around the edges of the city goes into a beautiful city park.
