Shimen

Shimen (็Ÿณ้–€ๅ€), or Shihmen is a district of New Taipei. It lies on the north coast and is home to the most northerly point on the island of Taiwan.

Understand

Tourism is a major contributor to the economy of Shimen, which also produces a number of agricultural goods including mandarins, peanuts, and tea.

Get in

There is no rail access to the district, and visitors to the area will need to access it by car or by bus. The Provincial Highway 2 passes through the district.
