Simultala

Get around
There are picturesque places around to make the journey to Simultala a worthwhile experience. To visit places around, auto rickshaw, hired car, cycle rickshaw and tongas are available at the railway station. Regular auto rickshaw runs from Simulatla to "Telwa bazar", which is a market 4 km from the Simultala railway station, and the largest market in the area.

Chhanna-murki or chena murki is very famous and delicious sweet. White rasogulla and lengcha (red long sweets) are other sweets. Gulab Jaamun, Bundiya, Nimaki, Ganthiya are common sweet snacks.
Kachaudi and Jalebi are breakfast staples here. A typical lunch includes rice, daal, sabji and aaloo chokha. For dinner, roti and sabji with some milkmaid items, like kheer, sewayi, halwa are typical.

Stay safe
There had been Naxalite terrorist activity in the area, but things have improved since the early 2010s. Nevertheless, if possible, stay in Telwa Bazar, Jhajha or Deoghar instead of Simultala. Enjoy the day only, as electricity is a big problem there. So is transport: only trains can help you.
