Sidney (Ohio)
Sidney is a small agricultural city and the county seat of Shelby County, Ohio, lying on a flat plain called the Miami valley.

Sidney was founded as a canal city in the 1830's and serves as the seat of Shelby county. It was named after the English poet Philip Sidney. Scientist Paul Lauterbur, who won the Nobel Prize for his work on developing MRI was born and raised here.

By car
Sidney is connected to Dayton by the Interstate 75 North and is roughly a 45-minute drive.
Coming from Columbus you'll have to take I-70 West and merge onto I-75 North to arrive in Sidney.
By plane
The nearest international airport is in Dayton. Columbus' John Glenn Columbus International Airport is a reasonable drive away.
There is no bus or train service to Sidney, so your options are limited to taking a taxi or hiring a car.
