Sitra (A.K.A. Sitrah) is a town on Sitra island split between the South Governorate and the Capital Governorate in Bahrain.

Sitra is divided into 9 historic villages:

  • Wadyan
  • Al Kharijiya (the largest of the villages)
  • Marquban
  • Al Garrya (If your planning to move here, this is where the housing area of Sitra is)
  • Mahazza
  • Sufala
  • Abul Aish (the location of Abul Aish Park)
  • Halat Um al-Baidh
  • Al Hamriya

Get in

You can get into Sitra via the Sitra Causeway or two bridges connected to Bahrain Island.

In the Halat Um al-Baidh village, there is a yacht club.
