Understand
This historic town is extremely welcoming and family oriented. Spring Lake is commonly known as the "Jewel of the Jersey Shore".
Get in
Get off the Garden State Pkwy at exit 98 and continue south on Rt. 35 until you see a sign for Manasquan. Take this exit and continue straight for a couple of miles. Then you will encounter a large circle, pass two exits then take the third. Go straight until you reach light and turn right. Continue on road and it will eventually bring you to Spring Lake, do not turn.
See
The Boardwalk is a two-mile elevated walking platform where entrances to the beach are blocked by badge checkers. The two pavilions (North & South) have bathrooms, food and tourist goods for sale.
Do
In the summer months, there is so much to do. Along with swimming, fishing and boating, there are many beautiful bicycle paths to explore, concerts in the park to enjoy, a five-mile run (Memorial Day weekend), and youth activity programs. Notices of all these events are noted in the windows of the borough's shops along Third Avenue, and on the community bulletin board at the corner of Third and Morris Avenues.
