  • 🌍 Yoshinogari Ruins/Historical Park (吉野ケ里(よしのがり)遺跡/歴史公園) (Yoshinogari is in the northern part of Saga Prefecture, about 10 km (6.2 mi) north of Saga City and about 30 km (19 mi) south of Fukuoka). You can look at from a train going to Hakata from Nagasaki. Remains of a ringed-dugout settlement, dating back to the 3rd century BCE. The Yoshinogari Remains lie on the spacious hilly area over Kanzaki City and Yoshinogari-cho of Kanzaki-gun in the northeastern part of Saga. Remains of a ringed-dugout settlement presumably dating back to the 3rd century BCE were unearthed there, and excavation is still underway at the site. They are among the largest archaeological remains in Japan.
