This ZEC is administered by the "Association de chasse, pêche et villégiature Tawachiche inc" (Tawachiche Hunting, Fishing and Resort Association inc). The toponym "ZEC Tawachiche" derives from the toponym of the "Tawachiche River" which crosses its territory.
