Zabid
Zabid (Arabic: زبيد, also transliterated Zebid) is a city in Coastal Plains of Yemen, west of the country, near the Red Sea Coast. It is one of the oldest towns in Yemen, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. However, in 2000, the site was placed on the List of World Heritage in Danger.
Understand

Zabid was known as a center of the Arab and Muslim world, especially for Islamic education, due in large part to its famed University of Zabid.
