Dannevirke
Dannevirke is a town in the southern Hawke's Bay region, in the eastern North Island of New Zealand.

The name Dannevirke derives from the Danish language and means "a work of the Danes".
Dannevirke and the rest of Southern Hawke's Bay is now part of the Manawatu-Wanganui Regional Council area.
