It is also the area where Daegaya was located in the past.

Get in

Gwangju-Daegu Expressway passes through the center of the city and can be accessed through Goryeong Interchange and Donggoryeong Interchange. The Central Inland Expressway intersects with the Gwangju-Daegu Expressway at the Goryeong Junction in Seongsan-myeon, but there is no interchange within Goryeong-gun, so it can be accessed through the Gwangju-Daegu Expressway. The national highway connects to Daegu Metropolitan City, Seongju-gun in Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Geochang-Hapcheon-gun in Gyeongsangnam-do. Other road networks connect neighboring cities to the north and south.

Rail traffic does not exist. The Southern Inland Line connecting Gimcheon Station and Jinju Station, and the Daegu-Gwangju Line connecting Gwangju Station and Daegu Station are included in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's second rail network construction plan.

According to the current plan, the Southern Inland Line will pass through Goryeong-gun but will not stop. Instead, Seongju Station will be built in the southern part of Seongju-gun, accessible from Goryeong-gun, and Goryeong Station will be newly built on the Daegu-Gwangju Line.

There are two rural bus companies in the city, and they operate rural buses in Goryeong-gun. Goryeong Intercity Bus Terminal is located within the town. Meanwhile, in the case of Dasan-myeon, it is virtually a Daegu living area on the border with Hwawon-eup, Seongsan-myeon, and Nongong-eup in Dalseong-gun.
