Sallisaw
Sallisaw is in the Green Country region of Oklahoma and the county seat for Sequoyah County. A town that was designated as the Depression-scene setting at the beginning of The Grapes Of Wrath, an image Sallisaw isn't always terribly proud of.

- 🌍 14 Flags Museum, 400 E Cherokee Ave, ☏ +1 918 775-2608. A museum that pays tribute to the 14 different sovereignties that had jurisdiction of some sort over Oklahoma at one point or another, housed in two 19th century cabins and an old railroad depot.
- 🌍 Sallisaw City Park (just under 5 miles west of town on W Cherokee Ave (US Route 64).). A pretty place because it has a waterfall.

- Robert S. Kerr Lake & Reservoir (8 mile south on US59), ☏ +1 918 775-4475. Fishing, swimming, picnicking and boat launching. Species of fish include channel catfish, flathead catfish, white crappie, largemouth bass, striped bass, walleye and various sunfish species.
- Shadow Creek Country Club (S. Wheeler). Golfing at an 18-hole public course with bent grass greens.
- 🌍 Brushy Lake State Park, Highway 17 Rte 3, ☏ +1 918 775-6241. More lake recreation, a good place for kayaking.
- 🌍 Tenkiller State Park, 448159 E 979 Dr, Vian, ☏ +1 918 489-5641. One of Oklahoma's most beloved lake parks, with a visitor center, restaurant, swimming pool, lodge and cabins, hiking trails, and nature center. The palisades here and there along the shore and clear water make for fine views and decent scuba diving.
