Spiro is a town in the Choctaw Country region of Oklahoma.

- Spiro Mounds Archaeological Park (2.5 miles east and 3.5 miles north of Spiro. Take SH-9 east of Spiro to the W.D. Mayo Lock and Dam Road). There is a 140 acre archaeology park run by the Oklahoma Historical Society and open to the public. The Indians populated the area between 850 AD to 1450 AD and it was a major trading center. There are 12 burial mounds located on the site.
