Llanidloes is a 2 hour drive from Liverpool (LPL IATA), Birmingham (BHX IATA) and Cardiff international airports (CWL IATA). The local airport, for chartered transport is at Welshpool 45 km (28 mi).
By train
Llanidloes is 11 km from Caersws train station, on the Aberystwyth to Birmingham line, via Shrewsbury.

Llanidloes is a thriving town with a number of interesting independent shops, mostly located on Great Oak Street and Long and Short Bridge Streets. The success of the town as a shopping destination is partly down to the presence of Hafren Furnishers, a large independent furniture retailer which draws customers from all over Mid Wales and further afield.
